DMV Destination Wedding & Portrait Photography

Oh my, where to start? I recently had the pleasure of being asked to capture the surprise proposal of one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met, Michelle and Patrick. I was contacted by Patrick’s mother who was excitedly helping to coordinate this beautiful event. In our initial phone conversation Patrick’s mother described to me the most beautiful setting alongside part of the Holston River (in Bluff City, Tennessee), a section of land that belonged to Michelle’s family and was very special to her. Patrick’s plan was to take Michelle to the fabulous J Frank’s restaurant (in Bristol, Tennessee) for a special dinner before taking her back to her family’s property to pop the question. Patricks’ mother told me she envisioned a simple, but elegant set up which included a white sofa, white roses and a beautiful candelabra set up nearby. As the day grew closer, we met with the wonderful Courtney Massey of The Little Prop Shop (located in Piney Flats, Tennessee http://www.thelpstn.com/) to discuss using one of her beautiful sofa’s for the proposal. Courtney happened to be friends of the family, and was more than happy to help create the perfect scene for this magical night! As the day grew closer Patrick’s mom could barely contain her excitement (or the secret much longer), and it was so heartwarming to see how happy she was for her son. She clearly wants the best for him, and knows that Michelle is the perfect person for her son to spend his life with!
